im down to put an lsx in my car lol.

I could build you a cool little road course engine for cheap. I'm sure the swap parts are expensive. I haven't read into it at all.

L33 aluminum 5.3 block
243 heads
Ls6 intake
ARP rod bolts

Spend money on good lifters and springs and put a small, torquey cam in it. 400whp, 7000rpm, flat torque curve. $2800 intake to oil pan.

Welcome to the Internet.gif

I live in new England, they took a map of the north east, put a piece of glass over it, smashed it with a hammer a few dozen times and decided to build roads according to the cracks in the glass.
Lots of people from the Midwest and beyond live where the roads are as straight as rulers, and there's no use for a car that excels at cornering.
They simply can't see the value of cars like miatas, rx-7's, s2000's, BRZ's and the like.

For example, there are no dragstrips in my state. But there are autocross events, and a racetrack (limerock)
Fast cars are fun if you can drive them fast.
There's just no where to do it here.

I'll stick with the BRZ, and pick up a motorcycle if I feel the need for speed.

yeah cause you drive around those turns pushing your car to its limits every time right?

doubtful

i appreciate cars that corner, but whats the point of cornering that good if you are still slow as balls

sure you can power through a turn at 70 that a regular car would take at 60, but that regular car will be back at 80 before your slow ass frs lol

slow as balls
0-60 in a 2013 brz is 6.1 seconds
0-60 in a 2013 mustang GT is 4.9 seconds

1.1 seconds

BRZ's can do 1G lateral turns, something typicaly reserved for race cars.
So enjoy speeding up and slamming on your breaks every turn, but 1.1 second gap closes pretty quick when you're doing 45 around the turn i'm taking at 65.

When every road is a twist an turn, the benefits are obvious.

i know why they love the car, its a great platform for track racing

its still slow as balls and over priced

the hate this thread is getting is because he wants to do a full exhaust and an intake, 2 mods that he will see literally no improvement, and very sterotypical mods, both would be 100% useless if the car ended up with boost

It's much easier to make a car faster than it is to make one lighter.

If you want value in a car, build one from the ground up, if you're comparing two stock cars from a dealership - they are both slow as balls and overpriced in comparison.

i mean, you could just get an s2000 and have basically the same car with alot more power and less weight, even a better motor, 1:1 hp/li ratio
