First off... Why does the type of vehicle he has owned have ANYTHING to do with the conversation (er..argument) at hand?
That just sounds like an attempt, which I have seen you do multiple times in multiple threads, to essentially brag about owning some BMWs.
Secondly.... The counter point Caedus posted was both accurate, and much more informative than...
"What do you drive?"
"Hey Chaosoul, you drove a Panamera; I think it's ugly so you don't have any say in the conversation."
Or more anecdotal evidence...
Those are the type of responses you get from trolls, or people who don't know what they are talking about.
Come in here with a little modesty and humility and you will be responded to a similar fashion.
Come in here humblebragging, like you know everything, and you will receive much different treatment.
Lets see:
I called him out because he talked of reviews which I never brought up. You dont think I have seen all the reviews on it all?.... I was talking first world experience. Not reading a review. He kept at that because he was trying to defend a brand he probably has no experience with (panamera IMO doesnt count).
As much as I think i know everything, i dont, but what I have is the experience first hand and over 4-5 close friends that had been owners for years that have come to that conclusion. its not to say that overall its a lesser brand than any other brand. So that is what I brought up. Then he started talking about GTI and how its best ect ect. And it shares the exact trans as the 911. (which isnt even close) at which point made me question his selective reading and overall experience on the subject. That is also why the "what car do you own came up".
There will always be those that live by the book and follow the rules and read word per word, and experience nothing. Going based on what Car and driver said about a car is the last thing I will do. Like I mentioned before, go pick up a GTI and then pick up a 911 pdk and then pick up DCT M3 and all other dual clutch cars and give me that feedback. I'm positive his opinion will change once hes had that experience. Ive see your thread and commend you on it, been there and done that. Just not my thing at this time of my life.

Yeah I don't know why he kept calling a car a Rabbit... The VW Rabbit was an older model and a 06-10 model. Which came 5 speed manual and 6 speed AUTO (Not DCT)
My GTI is a DSG... Shifts faster, smoother then most any other car I've driven. I've driven C63 AMG's, SLS AMG's.. list goes on.. And my car still shifts faster and smoother then those cars.
I got no experience behind a Porsche but from being in my friends 14' 911 Turbo S with PDK.. It's INSANELY smooth, fast, absolutely perfect. So I don't know how he can say PDK is crap/bad.
And honestly, who cares if you drive a BMW/M3.. Typical BMW owner, being a total pretentious dick. Why I stick to the VW/Audi/VAG crowd.. People are more laid back and not so stuck up.
Don't get me wrong I love BMW's.. And I want one, I just don't want to be associated with the typical crowd.
You must hang out in parking lots too much. Go to a track event and come back and tell me that BMW drivers are what you claim they are. Sure there are ones out there, but that is the same for GM/Audi/Merc ect.
Also your experience is one drive, the whole point was to live with a car, that when you start noticing everything. You all know taht when you first buy an brand new car for that first week its the coolest thing because it has XXX and does XXX then you start to see how it does on a day to day basis.
is the GTI not based on the rabbit chasis/car? because based on the guy below thats how I was taking in his info about GTI > 911 trans..
