Weird we barely adjusted my timing and my shit is still in 1 piece.

And ~13 is perfectly fine. I ran a 12.5 on mine.

12.5 is not 13.

You are lucky. If you take an N/A engine and boost it without drastically lowering compression it will need timing taken out of it for pump gas. 10-16° is about as far as I would push it in most cases. You don't get a do over with that. Timing is more dependent on engine configuration than AFR. That said, 1 bar of boost and 25°+ timing is not going to work out well on pump gas.

Weird, even Google says 12.25-13 depending on psi.

Most setups and tuners shoot for 11.0-12.0 for max reliability without sacrificing too much power. Too rich can be bad as well.

You won't find anyone recommending 13.0 on a boosted setup unless someone is pushing for max power. You need to go google your tuning knowledge again. 13.0 is target AFR for N/A WOT.

I have honda tuning experience, 200$ is a friends price. Most real tuners/companies charge 400+ on chrome. 500+ on other platforms. There is a reason most turbo hondas run like shit and are still super slow, it's because the got a 200$ tune. It's usually the equivalent of a mail ordered chip tune which carsandkush so madly seems to hate.

I also have experience with ls1 tuning and the prices are almost on par. Just because I can get an lsx tuned by my buddy chumma for 50$ doesn't mean it's the same price for everyone.

Lol I forgot his hate of handheld tuners.

Mail orders and Ronco (Set it/Forget it) tunes are about the same quality, possibly worse in some cases depending on who is behind the keyboard.

Has he never seen the auto cal, H&S, or Smarty tuners???

Can't beat those for a handheld. They have more tuning capability then half of the damn shops around houston.

I would. Think about it... high compression = power. Boost = power. Both = super power

ez question was ez
