Radials actually hook better on a manual transmission cars. They shock the tire really hard on the launch. All he needs are ET Streets on his stock wheels up to about 550whp then he will need to move down to a 17" wheel for more sidewall. The drag radial record is in the mid 6's now so that is plenty of tire.

If the 5.0 is auto the z06 should walk all over it roll or dig
You lose a bit more power through the auto also the mustang weights 400lbs~ more
factory quarter mile times show the z06 to be 1/2 to 3/4 of of a second quicker
Start adding basic bolt on mods on both cars and the Z06 will pull away even more
You said you made 418whp? With what mods?
Stock auto 5.0s put down 340-360whp depending on the dyno

People have clocked 11s stock on stock tires in the Z06
11.97 is an official number I think
Most people even with bolt ons and a tune will not hit 11s
Some cars are just freaks and some drivers can really drive the piss out of them

I estimated your car at 3650lbs. His car is 3150. Thats a 500lb difference. If you have equal power that is a 5 tenth of a second advantage in the 1/4 mile. Plug it in to a calculator if you don't believe me. Google will help you find one. It's physics. Nothing more, nothing less. There is nothing dick riding about that statement.

When they tune a 5.0 it's almost like putting a mild cam in it thanks to the VVT. His number is about right on a dynojet.

The stock Z06 record on stock tires is 11.78. I've personally watched a guy go into the 11.90's with a stock one at my local track. The DA was around 1000ft so he wasn't even in perfect conditions. He was on a drag radial though. Ride's headers and mid pipe should bring him up 25-30whp after a tune. The car should be capable of 11.50's with a tire on the back. These faggles think a stock stall auto mustang is a 50/50 race with it.
