Ty.

Idk I can't decide. Should I drop some money on a nicer car or just buy a beater? I would really hate to spend a lot of money on something I can easily destroy.

Yeah I was thinking that.

Should the difference between a 4 speed and 5 speed trans be a factor in my decision? Would 5 be better for gas mileage?

What do you guys think of going larger? Like trucks. Cause those seem to be cheaper.

2wd trucks are cheaper and easier to fix, but they are rarely good on gas unless ranger/s10 4 banger.

Hope the links are ok.

But these look pretty fine to me. They're really clean, cheap, and Hondas. Don't worry, I wouldn't even think about ricing it.

And I looked into the trucks but 4 doors are too few and far between, and crew cab looks like a pain in the ass.

e/ Oh and what do you think of Cavaliers?

both look like decent econobeaters to me. As for cavaliers, they don't make a bad first imo. Easy to fix, hard enough to break, easy as hell to drive.

that first civic has to have something wrong.. fairly and i mean fairly cheap for that year! the second the 98 is a very desired car for riicers, so flipping it would be easy! and have you thought about a prelude? the h22 drinks oil, but its so reliable.

Yeah I'm not sure. It is pretty cheap. They both have sunroofs which is nice. I'll look into the prelude.

As for the drivetrain, I guess FWD would be better to learn on?

fwd is i guess what is mainly used for econo cars, but neither is "better" to learn to drive on. I mean in winter if you dont have the right tires and not enough weight on a RWD then it could be rough in icy/ snowy conditions. but i felt that my s10 did AMAZING in snow and it was a 2.2 4cyl. but like a cavalier is an amazing beater, cheap EASY to maintain... and i drive a prelude currently, and i love my car. not Riced out, i mean i do have a new exhaust and air intake just to get rid of the ones the guy put on there, but i love it. Have you drove anything with a clutch? IE. Fourwheeler or dirtbike. something of that sort..

Ok cool. And nah only thing ive driven with a clutch is a car. Twice recently and two more times a year ago. I only get to on vacation with my parents when they rent cars.
