what hes saying is when someone says "it's a underpowered car with prius tires because its an econobox just like a prius" you refuse to agree even when there isn't any evidence to the contrary.

With that same logic you must think miata's, 350z's, s2000's, RX-7's, Lotus's are all econoboxes too...

They are niche cars, but 'econobox' is not their niche.

I remember the thread where on the first page the OP stated that he's looking for a car with "raw power over handling" but for some reason the Brz went on for 20+ pages

way to throw out a bunch of car models that are much different than a brz.

350z...50% more power
rx-7 50-80 more hp and like 400lbs lighter
lotus actually does well on the track as compared to just "being fun" on the track
miata and s2k are the only ones even slightly comparable to a brz. so congrats you have a care comparable to other stylish but undpowered small cars...but hell at least you get the convertible option with them so your wife is happy.

Oh I forgot you have never raced anything in your life... let me explain for a third time...

It's a fake feeling of performance. In reality you are going slow and breaking the back end loose because of prius tires and 200hp. But it feels like you are on the last lap at le mans. You really aren't, but it feels like you are. What do we call that? A facade? Fake? Right? That is perfectly fine. It makes a cheap car fun to drive in the opposite way of a muscle car. Works as intended...


Yet you think it is the performance bargain of the century. Weight, center of gravity (I think you mean weight distribution here) and balance are things important to overall performance but they don't make it perform without power, grip, and braking. The way you describe it's performance you might as well take the engine out and make it into a coffee table.
