none of the above

find a 4cly notch junk everything in it drop a lsx into it with a build rear end a tras of your choice and go fast

Yeah because a 2300LB car with 700 hp is practical...

Tbh i just totaled a stage 3 plymouth laser awd, you don't need something that light... to be that fast

IMO I like the foxbodies... as long as theres a sbc under the hood

If not, rx7 is a great base but to do a sbc swap theres quite a bit of fab work (more then the mustang)

But a supra is obviously the best base because you don't have to junk EVERYTHING, put a forged rotating assembly in it, add a pro charger build the tranny and regear the rear and your beast mode!

But my favorite of all is the g-body, yeah so what you can complain all you want about the "Gbody flex" but any car doing 10s or better should be back halfed and reinforced any ways and that will fix your flex right there...

On a side note I know guys runnin low 10s high 9s with nothing but a 52" ford 9" (stock length)

Updated

Its all about what you can afford, if you aint got the money then obvious choice in my book is a 80s gbody, still pretty easy to find and VERY easy to make fast.

You do realize a notch is a foxbody and an lsx is the latest sbc? A 5.3L out of a junkyard and a 78-80mm turbo will put you in the 8's.

The op is talking about the complete package though. Not just a drag car.

a 5.3 out of the junk yard and a 80mm turbo will put a rod through the side of the block

you obviously have never built a high horse race motor, stock blocks need to be filled and internals need to be forged heads need to be ported and cams need to be changed aswell as injectors and fuel rails and the computer would also need to be tuned.

its not just as simple as put a turbo on and go...

I mean you COULD turbo a stock motor but ur not gonna be able to run high boost and it would also probably choke out at high rpms due to fuel starvation and if u know cars, turbo motors don't like to be lean
