i did some reading... cuz i dont work for another few hours and my old ladys at work. Bored as fuck  <_<

on one forum ( still reading ) theres 10 + people that all have this exact issue. They ALL been to local shop, nissan techs. the works, one guy even had  nissan tech hook a computer up and drive around to observe the timming. - everything always came up perfect.

NOTHING is working for any of these guys.

But, a few ( lucky ones it seems like ) , bought new plugs 94 + grade fuel, and some spray can ( i guess you spray it in the heads and run the motor, cleans off any carbon off the pistons - they all used SEVERAL cans ) and seems to have worked.

sounds like they were using sea foam or some cleaner product for manifolds/ injectors

worth a shot those cans are lik 10 bucks at any auto store.

Your life would just be flat out easier if you get someone to help you.

Kinda sucks that VQ35's have an electronic throttle rather a cable.

It has a timing chain, when i rip the car apart, i'll see if the chain has anything to do with it, (not likely though) gfs new car, new battery, cables were fine.
Ac doesn't have an effect in the noise, on or off still rattles
Fuel seems least likely, but i'll try anything to stop this rattle.

MAF, would pop an ECU code 9 times outta 10, if MAF was bad you could also noticed a fuel/air ratio decline (leading towards power loss)
Knock sensor is a possibility.
Fuel strainer imo is a long shot.

yeah just sucks so many different sites and people are saying different things. although all of em have it diffeerent things seem to fix it. also i noticed someone say something about a rear exhaust manifold heat sheild. that sounds that that'd prob be it and not noticable hiding behind the motor.

I do know one thing for sure that will fix it, turning up the radio XD

Lol my set up is loud, so i'm sure the sub rattled something out.

Current to do list: for tomorrow:

Check Plugs/Coils/Pistons
Check Fuel Dampers (via stethoscope)
Check Engine (via stethoscope)
Check Tensoier/Timing (just for shits and gigles/ via stethoscope)
Check Intake
Check Exhaust Manifold heat shield.
Check Camshafts
(All fails, new vid with gf holding noise and me underneath car)

could possibly a loose lifter/valve w/e u call it. might also just be crudy and need some cleaner ran through the oil. i myself just put transmission fluid in the oil and get it hot before i change it but idk what most recommend

nah the noise would get louder as the RPMS went higher...I've had that issue before.

Did you check for a broken engine mount? I noticed in your video that when you switch it from park to N to drive that the rattle changes.
Another possibility is if it has a drive belt the most likely the tensioner for it could be hydraulic as well. They rattle after time.
Also check your exhaust to see if any hangers are broken and see if its rattling.

To check for a broken engine mount have someone look under the hood while you power brake. (Hold the brake and E-brake while you give it gas) while alternating through drive gears.
