Well, update time.
The motor came out of my white truck only to go back into it.
I found a really good deal on a rolling chassis that i'm going to be vague about for now but it will be used for a 6.7L swap. Only info y'all get right now is it's a rwd car and i don't think the swap has been done yet... not 100% sure though.
so, motor back into the white truck. Finished the deletes on it again... hit the dyno today and made 487/1142 with quite a bit left in it. I still have another 4,000 psi of rail pressure and 6 degrees of timing to put into it along with a little more duration. I was shocked by the performance of everything in factory form. No issues with keeping the rail up and boost never wandered in the higher rpm's with the vgt.
I'm pretty sure the stock air/fuel will hold 525 at the rear tires, if not, damn close to it.
So with all that said, Head studs are in, transmission will be coming out for a revmax unit to keep the 6spd. and fuel/air will be next on the list to put in, parts are here waiting for it. I'm pretty satisfied with where the truck sits now. Not going to bump it up anymore until I get a new transmission in. My wife has been driving it so that's the reasoning for keeping the power half-ass on the safe side. The only thing i'm not happy with is I don't have a very clean burn on the fuel at this point. I'm going to let the wife drive it and datalog for me and then head back to the dyno again next week. I think I need to take out a little more timing to get it to clean up. Duration and the VGT map should be pretty close to where they need to be.
Miata?
