I'm not saying v8's arent better to build drag cars with, i'm just simply saying that if he hit the average time with his 4 banger then he would no longer be getting slapped by every v8 all day on the track...

His whole intention was that it would be getting slapped around by V8's all day built to the same level of preparation. Obviously in his original post you quoted he was talking about a street car. I'm sorry but FWD cars (even the fast ones) utterly fail on the street. It's either bog, wheel hop, or spin. That car that ran 8.3 would likely get walked on by a low 10 sec RWD car.
