Again 22 ft lbs. then retorqued after the motor turned.

Those SLRs may or may not like that. Look up some preload specs for them. Aftermarket lifters have a smaller window for preload than stock.

So i picked up a 2003 crown vic with 415,000 miles for $1000. I'm going to use it as a chemical plant work beater and give it to my brother when he gets his license. It's hilarious to be driving around in a vic. It's the opposite of everything else i'be ever owned. K find the whole thing hilarious.

It was a fleet car for a bread company. 30k miles ago they rebuilt the rear end, replaced the whole A/C system, rebuilt the steering and front suspension, installed a new OEM transmission and a 90k mile pullout engine from a Georgia State Patrol car that was rear ended. Everything works. Power windows, power mirrors, radio etc. Score.

It's .040" +/- .010". Our pushrod length checker is coming from Hinson with a new short shifter for my car. As soon as it comes we'll be figuring it out. I'm assuming we're fine with this method

That method will work. Make sure the verification step is done right and the numbers match up. As you can see your window is small.

Cracked my front right rim today, pretty sure I fucked the tire as well. Fun stuff.
