I'd be fine with that. Hell, i made a 1800 mile round trip to buy that Ram. Spending 3 of my off days moving people's shit made it suck. Not to mention I-22 from Birmingham to Memphis might be the most boring stretch of road on the east coast. Tomorrow i'm going to get that LS1 block.

Talked with arrington about the motor again today. They were nervous about running a 1471 on their crate 448. So, I told them that I am opting out and have changed plans. Just got off the phone with an engine builder. I'll let you figure out who.

I'll be going with a 441ci small block with "mirror image" twin 88's now. Hoping to have the motor in hands by around October to start the rest of the car. My budget of 65k for the car has been raised... by a lot. But power levels should now be ~2500hp/2000ftlbs on kill and 1500hp/1400ftlbs with a street friendly tune. I am still keeping the sequential 6 speed. I do need to find someone to build a beefier unit though to hold up to the new plans. The last trans was rated for 1600ft lbs and that is a bit to far shy of what the output will be for me to keep it. The only thing staying factory original will be the body at this point. I have a 4 link / strait axle in the chassis now that I will keep.

I'll keep y'all posted as things come together. It's been an up and down ride with this project. This is about the 4th complete change-of-mind on this damn car, but this is the first time i've been really excited about the plans so hopefully everything will come together on this one.

12.33 on a 1.97 60ft. The stock clutch is done. I won't be running the T/A any more until the new engine is in it. I sourced a new block for the machine shop tuesday and saved myself $1100. It's just a matter of time now.
