That goes back to Toyota failing which is the whole point of the thread.

I'm not following your point.

The car you desire has never been offered for $25k in the U.S (as far as i'm aware of). That is..... less than 2800 lbs 300 hp "good" tires"

So that leaves it as, it's not toyota's fault, it's not subaru's fault, it's everyone's fault.

I suppose the question is......how much are you willing to pay for the car you desire?

My second choice was a 370z. Obviously faster, but priced $5000 more and weighing 500+ lbs more, suffers from much less mpg and well, not as attractive in my opinion.

I'll have to attempt to string this together for you when I get off work. I'll give it one last shot.

What if I red pilled you and told you the 200hp FA20+ transmission is only 80lbs lighter than 20 year old design LS1/t56 (with a proper weight flywheel for the 2900lb car?)

Boxers are heavy.

The idea of the brz I like and the niche it fills, I think for that price it should at least be mid 5-s for a 0-60

I would say, and honestly say, I claim ignorance, but better off comparing what’s currently being offered.

But the niche is more important than its 0-60.

Aside from the s2000, what cars under $30k produce more than 205 hp NA? I’m asking because I don’t know, but it’s something to think about.

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Fiat 124, Golf Gti, Impala, Camry, dart, Sonata, Civic, Accord, mx5 and the list goes on and on and on.

You'd be better off asking what cars DONT make more than 205hp for under 30k. The list is much shorter.

205hp is quite low for today's cars. Most base model v6 cars are in the 300hp ball park.
