im not an aerodynamic body kit expert but isnt that the same as a splitter?

nope they are different things.

splitter creates a low pressure area and a lip does not.

it's not just semantics though. the splitter performs a different function than the lip does.

No yeah I agree. And F150's a douchecanoe but fair's fair imo.
