:) Don't be jelly that my DD will be able to run a 10

This forum really isn't the place to talk, there's much faster cars than yours running around even if you were to mod it which lets face it isn't going to happen.

I'm over here wondering what was wrong with the stock ones. He's never going to get enough heat in a good pad to make them work well.

look at this guy bragging about his mega cabs again. omg you are such a snob!

as a truck enthusiast i'm very disappointed in you for having to say they are mega cabs and looking down on those with regular cab trucks.

also gonna need slips to prove this cause this is motorsports 2 years ago now.

LOL ty @ bold.

What i'm getting at is 7-10 years ago, 10's were a pretty "cool" number for a street car.

Today, there are 9 second cars everywhere on the street. It's not even worth writing home about 10's anymore...

Take FMX's Vette for example (sorry, nn hurt feelers) 7 years ago, an 850hp street car was huge. Today, 1000 to 1250 is average.

I would say that 1800-2000hp is the wow mark of today and honestly, there are enough builders out there now that any joe blow with a blank check can have it. That wasn't true 10 years ago.

well with ls motors coming out and the amount of parts/tunes/power they put out, 10s is easy as long as you got the balls

Low 9's is usually where you have to start messing with suspension a bit on vettes unless you are looking for every tenth. You can go 1.4x 60ft pretty easy on stock suspension with a good tire.

Slicks or drag radials. No one runs a hard tire on anything over 600whp. You can get by with an R compound road course tire to keep some handling until about 700whp.
