Had to design a car to carry an engine, was really easy to do? I guess your purvey to the in's and out's of a Cadillac design team. Listen, I'm definitely not saying it required a redesign or it was difficult, what I'm saying is you make it sound like they just dropped a Corvette engine into the CTS-V and walked away. There are so pretty major adjustments they made to the engine and setup. For example, the Corvette has a dry sump the CTS-V does not.
And every other version of it has a wet sump as well. It's all so interchangeable that the 5.3L L83 in my silverado will bolt directly in the V. Swap exhaust manifolds, oil pans, and intake/superchager/fuel rail...
It's a V8 platform from the very beginning. It took no extra effort. It isn't magic. To think they neglected other elements of the design while focusing extra resources on the engine sitting on the shelf is asinine.
