http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=2413&gid=339 heres the cam i got picked for order on fri

80 degrees of overlap, 30 degrees at .050" lift. That thing will thump pretty good and make good power from 4000rpm up. The lift is rather low but I don't know your valvetrain setup or your PtV clearance. What is the stall on your converter? 3500+ if you are primarily racing I hope.

i bet you will like their cams a hell of a lot better then comp

I don't really like any cam company's off the shelf cams. They can all grind the same stuff. Comp has far more exclusive lobes available to them. The only place that can rival comp on the newer stuff I work with is Cammotion.

Fair idle on a 500 lift 108 duration cam?

My kinda people!

The LSA is 108 which is pretty tight. It will bring the power down to a usable range. 300/300 duration is pretty high for a mild small block. The lift is weaksauce if he is primarily racing it which I'm assuming he is because he isn't running roller lifters.

It's not the lift I was talking about. The duration is gonna be what makes this thing idle like shit, not "fair"

I guess what they say is true....

If you're not ready to watch cash burn on the ground, you're not ready to race.

The duration and lsa determine overlap which directly sets idle quality. 108 is just the lsa which by itself means nothing.
