LOL, so now your resorting to personal attacks and called using your own opinion. Buddy i think its time u stopped posting. Micheal kors is NOT a luxury brand. I dont only work on these cars, I own/drive them. I do not live in a group home.. yet i think you do... and their marketed at different segments for different people.. rolex and micheal kors are 2 completely different brands.. and micheal kors mimics rolex.. its more of a fashion brand then LUXURY brand. but you wouldnt understand that. and ACURA labels itself as a luxury brand.. no one THINK of acura when someone thinks luxury.. Lexus RECENTLY became part of it... sigh i feel bad for you. and this is my last reply.. i hate arguing with idiots.
I would say entry-level with a grimace for acura.. they just dont compare to any luxuyr brand.
Infinity/Lexus is mid in my opinion.. after driving the gs/is/q series I thought they were pretty cool. still dont think the price matches the value.
and the american cars are just meh. I dont care for their "luxury" sedans. never drven one and I dont see them on the road as often, nor have I worked on any of them.
I didn't resort to anything. You decided to derail this all by telling me I knew nothing about cars because I said Acura is a luxury brand. Which it is. You want to be an idiot I'll treat you like an idiot. You sound like a 12 year old when you make stupid assertions like that. Why should I care that you don't think Acura or Micheal Kors are luxury brands (go look at their websites. Both try to project an image as a luxury brand and they market their products as such). The fact
you think they're not is irrelevant. Not every luxury product is the same, some are marketed at wealthier members of the middle class (Acura and Micheal Kors), others are marketed at the upper class (Bentley and Rolex). It's irrelevant, they're both advertised as non-mass market product.
I'm going to keep calling you out if keep acting like an ass who's somehow an expert on what isn't an is luxury. Your opinion doesn't mean anything. Acura is Honda's luxury car division. It doesn't matter that Acura's aren't in the same league as BMWs. BMWs aren't in the same league as Bentley's. So fucking what.
I really hope this is your last reply, because I'm getting sick of dealing with jackasses who think they're experts on something they cannot comprehend.

acura and lexus are economy class luxury cars, like the hyundai equus.
they are an upper level brand of a parent company that produces cars with better options on a different line for a different market
for instance, there are some cheap and non luxury acura and lexus cars, and there are some nice and luxurious cars.
but for BMW, there is no cheap economy car, it is all luxury. i don't even think they offer cloth seats in new models, it would probably cost you extra. same goes for benz, jag, porsche, etc
Not the way I'd put it but yeah. I would say faux-luxury, they're not competitors to the "Big 3" but they're still luxury. There's cheap Acura's and Lexus' that aren't as nice as some mass market cars, but that's because there's a grey area. Is a fully loaded Toyota Avalon an entry level luxury car or just an expensive mass market car? My car's the same way (VW CC). It's both technically. That section of mass market cars that fall between $30 and 50,000 are tough to classify. A lot of lower end luxury cars from Acura, Caddy and Lexus would fall in there. An Acura ILX is pretty cheap but it's still classified in the executive car segment, though on the lower end.
Long story short, it's still a luxury car it's just aimed at the lower end of the market. Just like Michael Kors is a luxury fashion brand aimed at the lower end of the luxury market. They're is a great deal of variety in the market. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the market should know this.
