those 17" tires will fit awfully loose on those 15" wheels

Lift partially depends on whether or not you get some lower profile fenders. 2.5" lift will give you plenty of clearance on flat fenders, not sure about stock ones though.
I like the Teraflex kit I have. Easy to install and good quality for a lower cost kit.
Either this one or the one same one but without the shocks and add some Bilsteins.

My dad and I installed mine. Wasnt too bad really. Although, most of the instructions call for disconnecting a lot of extra stuff and dropping the axle really far. I used a combination of dropping the axle and a spring compressor which was a lot easier.
I also upgraded my drag link, track bar, tie rod, and ball joints but that was because my stock ones were pretty worn when I bought the Jeep.

If your going to play in mid/water the FIRST thing you need to do is get longer breather tubes for the axle and take the wheel bearings out and repackage them with a high temp marine grease.

And then get good at it, because if you don't repackage them they are gunna lock up in you.

Also, fuck mud, you will get tired of that shit unless you like replacing broken shit all the time and working on a truck that never gets clean

Wheels fine, tires fine

If you going to lift it do it right it don't bother

If it's the $ start looking for used lift kits

When you ride in a Wrangler, road noise is the LAST of your worries.

breaking your arm trying to brohighfive your brofriends in another jeep at 70mph is the main worry.
