Most people I know started out on automatics. It's how most professional drivers teach you to start off. Learn the lines, apex points, timing, etc... An automatic legacy was better than what I first had. I started with an old 2.5 rs. Leave that thing in 2nd gear and just take it around on a track day...

Have you ever been to a sanctioned track day before?

Have you ever attended auto cross events or even dragging?

90% are manual
And even at that, legacy sedans are heavy as fuck...

... How are you even putting auto x, tracks, and drag strips in the same sentence? I've been talking about tracks this whole time and you bring up something totally different.

Plus in drags, a lot of the real cars are automatics. Not factory auto trans but they're reinforced manual convergences to automatics... Autos have a faster shift time that most people can't compare to, especially with the newer reinforced trannys and clutches.

There's more than 1 kind of track...

Drag strip, auto cross, road coarse, circuit, etc...

And real drag cars do use auto's, you're right. But not factory auto's with shitty gear ratios...

Alright so I stopped reading all the rage here, but I would just like to say, I would never bash a clean Honda. I have nothing against any particular car manufacturer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you can't really bash somebody for making their car their own. This does not apply to mods that take away from drivability and function, such as slammed, huge camber, donks etc. And before rage yes I know I have a stance Miata, I have raised it a few inches and got rid of most of the rear camber, I'm working on it.

Bottom line, Honda, Porsche, Subaru , I will never hate on somebody for putting a rack on their car. I have better things to do with my time.

So you go snowboarding once a week but put on your rack/remove it once a week too?

Seems logical.

Actually I have when I snowboarded, and I left the attachment on all season, just not the board itself.  And theres something called a fairing (which you have...) for the whistling.

I'm talking the attachment, not the snowboard itself....

If you were able to read, you'd see that I don't take my rack off, just the snowboard and kayak attachment. Because if you also weren't completely moronic, you'd know that even if the fairing is on, the attachment will still whistle because the attachments sit higher than the fairing.

Putting nice wheels on a car is like buying a nice pair of shoes... Nothing wrong with wanting to look good.

The other mod he actually uses.

I don't see the issue

Racks always whistle at least a little bit, even with fairings, etc.

Even OEM racks.
