Sorry to bump an old thread, but nothing else is going on in this forum anyways. Is this guy serious? 400k miles with his old oil and decides to switch to synthetics? Ugh...oil screens don't generally like the old sludge build up being loosened up.

Anyways personally I tried running royal purple in the Z06 a couple of times, but my car like to burn it really bad. So I've always just run my tried and true Mobil 1 synthetic and either a wix or Purolator filter. Several engines have seen 400k+ miles with this combo, I see no reason to change it.

whats a sardonic comment? ive never heard that before. now if you had said sarcastic that wouldve made more sense.
