If you need to take out a loan to buy a quad, maybe you shouldn't buy a quad, just my opinion.

to each their own. I fail to see a problem with this at all.

it's the equivelent to taking out a loan to buy a tv.. It's nothing you NEED like a car for example, which can get you to and from work. It's more of a luxury good or a toy... most people pay outright for those kind of items.

basically... MURICA

that would be pretty dumb considering you'd get charged interest, whereas paying outright you dont.... not to mention its quicker (not having to wait for approval)

Ive never got the point of riding through mud like that.
offroading in general is awesome but just going and playing in the mud seems dumb and kinda boring.

See, I already have everything I need. All thats left is building credit, and yes, it costs money to build credit, aka: interest. My banker told me that I need 3,different loans on my history to qualify for a home loan. I'm only on my first one.

Lol.

Not so much. I've been riding a KFX 450R since '08. I have an intake, exhaust, and fuel programmer on it (Used to have a Power Commander, but replaced it with a ProCom adjustable ECU, which I like better). It has enough power to climb just about anything, if I can get traction and not flip over backwards.

Power counts for shit when you're buried in the mud, high centred on the swing arm.

And loans ARE good for credit. It really makes no sense to even have enough cash just sitting around to buy something like that. That much money should at least be invested in a high interest savings account or something. I've been putting my toys on my line of credit for years, and recently qualified for a better interest rate than most people on the mortgage for my first house because of it.

Total interest on that loan is probably a couple hundred bucks.

I would draw the line at getting a loan when the payment is any considerable percentage of your income. If you make $400 a week you probably shouldn't get a $5k loan for an atv.

just because you 2 have bad/no credit dont hate on someone else because the bank will actually loan them money. idk what you are waiting for to borrow money from the bank but if either of you havent borrowed money or dont have a good enough credit rating they are going to laugh you out the front door when you want to buy a new vehicle or a house. i bought a house at 23 years old just off the credit from a couple of quad loans and a car loan. no money down no co signer no problem.

also maybe he has the money in the bank but he doesnt want to put that big of a dent in his bankroll in one large lump like that. you dont know his reasoning for getting a loan.
