i would of moved out of the way of the pack and avoided all of this.
you are asking for trouble otherwise.
2/3 lanes were wide open. Thats a stupid way to seemingly justify the bikers actions

it's kind of like seeing a bunch of people running a red light...you don't drive out into the chaos just because you have a green light and expect not to end up in a wreck.
your argument is backwards. In the redlight scenario the car that pulls out into illegally moving traffic has the right of way and gets hit.
In the bike scenario the bike that pull in front of a car and slows down ALSO has the right of way but gets hit. He should have used the same common sense that tells people not to go when cars are running reds and realized he shouldnt pull right in front of a SUV and hit his brakes EVEN THOUGH there is nothing illegal about slowing down.
And the bikers started attacking the SUV after a minor accident. Thats not how you handle being bumped into on the road.
Move your vehicle off the road if possible and swap insurance or call the police for an accident report.
The range rovers only mistake was bumping into the bike whether on purpose or not (he may have done it to be a dick, or he may not have expected a moron on a bike to cut him off and hit his brakes)
