The car was built to be fun to drive for people that like high corner speed and not having to lift. You get the impression you are driving the wheels off of it because you can flat foot it early on corner exit and it has prius tires. It's real fun but false performance. It is a facade. I'm not sure how you can say a well balanced car (near 50/50) with a low center of gravity is 'false performance'. It's simply performance. Unless you're trying to say things like center of gravity and weight distribution have no effect on the performance of a car?

You need to reread. Real fun, false performance. The prius tires and low power trick you into thinking you are Michael Schumacher. It is fun nonetheless. My whole point is toyobaru did what they intended but the fanboys are taking it too far. In stock form it is not a race car. It is not an ideal rwd platform like the other thread would leave you to believe. Accept that it is a fun niche car that has performance potential if a lot of money is dumped into it (what doesn't)? Stop bringing this thing up in every thread like it is the second coming of Jesus.

That is hardly a good representation of what most turbo brz's will be. They are claiming it is 400hp. That is double the stock power. That means it is running roughly 14-16psi at the manifold. That simply isn't happening on pump gas with an otherwise stock engine. The CR is 12.5:1. 7-8psi is pushing it on pump gas before it detonates. Their stage 2 turbo kit comes with a 7lb spring in the wastegate and claims 250-270whp. Some simple ET calculators show that power level as a 111-114mph trap, not 127. Not to mention the rest of the drivetrain won't last with double it's designed power without a lot of investment. I didn't link the video but a car with a basic turbo kit ran 13.6@107 I believe. At 250-270whp that will be typical for most drivers. Those numbers are with the stage 2 kit too. The stage 1 kit is rated at 220-250whp at 6psi.

300hp vs 400hp as a dd makes no difference. 55mph is 55mph no matter how much power you have. You are guessing and assuming because you don't have any experience with a fast DD.
