There's two springs that mount in two holes on the bottom of the pads. I have no idea how I'm supposed to hold the springs in the holes and slide the pads in with the clips at the same time.

Im not sure what's going on there, if you post some pics I might be able to guide you through.

I'll get a few pics up shortly, but it's hard to explain. I can change the pads on my truck in under 10 minutes, but this shit is impossible, lol.

edited: On the third pic, you can see two holes on each pad that the springs mount into. and then the springs are on the back side of the pads as you slide them in. There's no room to slide both in at the same time, and by sliding one at a time in, there's no way that I can see to get the springs in the holes.

It kind of looks like you need to compress the piston more. Lmk.

I've gotten the pads into place as they should without the springs just to see if they would go. I compressed the piston by hand enough to fit the pads, but I have no idea how to get the springs into place.

Quick idle video. Below freezing outside, valvetrain was loud as fuck. We still need to put the transmission back up into mine.

Get used to the valvetrain. Lots of lift, lots of spring pressure, aggressive lobes, ls7 lifters... you will now start the hunt for the oil that runs quietest. Pennzoil pure plus ultra platinum 5w30, castrol syntec 0w40 euro blend (known as GC on the forums), or Mobil 1 0w40 are all good options. The old GC formulation worked best for me. Since they changed it i've been running pennzoil with pretty good success.

The sewing machine sound will still be there especially when the engine is hot.

Congrats on getting 1 running. I'm looking forward to yours being done. You aren't going to drive it to the tuner are you? That big of a cam and intake manifold change is going to throw it way off.

I don't really have a choice but to drive it. The clutch is brand new, I've got to try and break it in. Should be an awesome week.

I'm assuming untuned in really cold weather throwing P0300 and the car misfiring at low rpms is normal? Probably will end up running 0W40 Mobil 1

You need to get a base tune before you can drive it and break the clutch in. Not a full WOT tune. Misfiring and shit is normal after those mods and that is why you can't drive it. It is misfiring. Need i say more? Lol.
