forgot to share, but i got rid of the trail ready beadlocks, kept having issues with bolts coming loose and shearing off so they are gone!
bought some of these new B.A.D. wheels (Bead Assist Device)
http://www.badwheelsinc.com/index.htmI must say I’m impressed with these rims. Certainly not any longer than a traditional bead lock and certainly faster than the last time I mounted trail ready bead locks, on these exact same tires I might add.
The rapid deflator valve that came with the rims is amazing, it literally dumps about a pound of air a second. Rapid is a borderline understatement, I will likely never bother with the thread on “speed” deflators or valve stem removal again.
The construction of the rims is really well thought out. They were clearly designed with wheeling in mind from the get go. All the hardware was top notch quality and went together exactly as it should. Kevin, the owner of BAD wheels, was super helpful. He took a call from me on a Sunday morning and answered some questions, great guy.
There’s only 1 thing left to do… Air em down and hit the trails!
They look alright, and the ring is just for looks/to protect the wheel. not sure if im going to leave it silver or powder coat it black, maybe tan

The lock ring installed, this has to come off to get the tire on, you take it off, put the tire on, set the bead, break the bead on the back side, and tighten the ring back up, not bad at all, and the nuts are cotter pinned to the studs, so unless there is a stud that breaks, they aint going no where
