It's kind of funny how they are having tons of water shortages, yet a large % of houses in Oakland do not have water meters. Kind of blew my mind. Also blew my mind how my aunt sold her place 60k over asking. Never heard of anyone selling above asking price over here.
And as far as the jobs, pay is probably a little higher than average, but still not enough to make up for the cost of living over there in my opinion. I did notice that there were tons if Indians and Chinese over in Oakland, I guess that area has a booming tech and engineering sector.
berkley is flowing over into oakland, wich in a way is a good thing
so its pushing the poor areas back, and some of the previously "bad" areas are getting nicer.
