When I get to the fleet, I'm on liberty anytime I'm not at work. After my MOS School, I'll take leave, and drive my civic to NC.

What branch are you going into?

Marine Corps, my MOS is Aviation Mechanics, Airframe. AV-8B workin on Harriers.

Have fun in Marine town USA. It is a fucking shit hole. A bunch of wal-marts, tattoo parlors, and strip clubs. I hope you have a decent woman because you won't find one there. The only upside to that place is the amount of cheap performance vehicles for sale. Bikes, cars, trucks, everything. Marines blow money on their toys like it's their job and then sell them for little to nothing when they deploy or get divorced.

Yep. Having a guaranteed steady job is a great thing right now. I have 3 friends that up and joined the marines and 1 that joined the army in the past year. It's hard to find a good job these days. Especially if you came out of high school with little to no job experience. None of those 4 guys were military material. It was their last resort. All 4 of them text me a FML message at least twice a week.
