Cpa is just for marketability on the resume.
And i have a connection at jp morgan, a fraternity brother of mines father is a banker there. When i head back home during the summer im going to meet him and get my foot in the door.
well they would more than likely not care about your CPA, as all that means is that your capable of reading/creating financial statements.... which you should be able to do REGARDLESS. and the certification of a CPA does not always follow from state to state, you may need to check and see if you need to retake it. so getting it as a IB is retarded in that retrospective.
And you'll need more than just somone who is a banker in jp morgan chase. what kind of banker? retail? consumer? business? advisor? Private Clientele? Just because he is a banker does not mean he can get you hired in the investment side, and if he is an investment banker, chances are he WONT want you to get hired in the same district/area, so good luck with that, you need the connection of a managerial position.
Do some more research about banking before you reply.
