uh oh. new car parts came in the mail today

What are the two small boxes?
I want some long tubes too! I got a killer deal on shorties though so I went with them. That 5.0 with those headers should sound sick though. Especially if you add some more aggressive cams one day.

the first box on the bottom are the lth, 1 7/8, next is the off road xpipe, the white box is the 5.0 emblems in black (cant stand the factory grey lol) and the box its sitting on are roush axle backs. having a professional shop install and dyno my car on the 29th so im all anxious

my friend on his 2011 5.0 has shorties, and tbh im not a fan of em, theyre not loud enough for my taste. if youre gonna do headers, do em right and get long tubes, youll never regret makin the change.

i was hesitant on gettin the kooks cause theyre the most expensive headers you can get, next to american racing headers, but on all the stang forums everyone says that they have the absolute best sound and the quality is amazing. just to show a comparison, kooks lth and xpipe were 2k, some other lth/xpipe sets came out to like 1100 haha.

Kooks makes good parts. Some are known to be off though, it's something to look out for. Are you going to keep your catalytic converters? Will need a tune if not.

personal experience or is that just what you've heard. Everyone's like the Kook's on the 5.0 forums.

do an AED or bama tune. Everyone is raving about shaun(AED)'s tunes for the 5.0. And most of those people are coming from other tuners. Anyways I'm sure she'll sound awesome. Makes sure to post up some vids when you get it all setup.

im gettin rid of the cats and getting it dyno tuned by realspeedautomotives out here on long island by me, good reputation.




yeah everyone on the 5.0 websites say kooks are the absolute best, so i took the financial blow and bought it

theyre getting put in on the 29th and dyno tuned as well, so ill have vids up on the 30th

im not sure how the new stangs are, but the older gen, they were a bitch to install headers.

when i was installing mine on my GTO there was a guy in th*** next to me installing them on his stang... all i could hear was fuck this, and fuck that...
