Update on my treatments... They want me to do 5 day in patient steroid IV.. If that works, than I go home.. If not, they try a biological treatment, like remelon or what ever the fuck its called.. If that doesn't work, they're taking my colon out.

Nope, basically that if the remicade or steroids don't work, I lose my colon... Hopefully my odds are high?.

idk why doctors torture people like that. i'd rather know i had a 20% chance rather than being left in the dark and having to stay on edge constantly being told "we'll see how it goes"

They don't like saying i don't know but sometimes they really have no clue.

So I just spoke to my union hall, and i'm going to begin collecting short term disability, giving me the ability to still pay into my benefits, so I don't lose them.. Starts week 1-9 at 350 a week, 9- 16 is 500 a week and 17-26 is 640 a week.. All benefits still paid..

That took a LOT of stress off my and my wifes shoulders.

i guess in that context it's better not to say so cause that's like the one thing scarier than ignorance is knowing the people taking care of you don't know either.
