Gluten is much easier to avoid now that it is a fad diet (for no reason). My dad was put on a gluten free diet 10 years ago and it was nearly impossible. They thought he had Celiac disease but it ended up being pancreatitis. If you do have UC pray you don't end up dumping your dinner out of a bag.
