I just scored a 2 year old basically brand new 15" Asus laptop with a core i3, windows 7, and an extended battery for $150 on craigslist. Perfect for tuning... I'm trying to rent a dyno in Columbia to get some baseline numbers on my Trans Am and the 3 new F-bodies my friends bought. I'll be tweaking my tune and tuning at least 1 of theirs that already has a street tune on it. I'm hoping to get that done before it starts to warm up in march.

That is awesome. There aren't many dynos around here so they go for $75-$150 an hour depending on the type of dyno and who owns it. The one I'm trying to rent is owned by a drag radial racer. It's a dynojet 248H.

yeah the one we can get for cheep isnt very nice but it has rollers and reads alright

if we want a "good" dyno we go up to cravens but he costs a whole lot more

I'm curios to see what my T/A makes. It play a big role in what I plan to do with it engine wise. I will also get to see if it smokes as bad as everyone says it does during a pull. It never gives so much as a puff at idle or cruising around. Due to that I think a lot of it is PCV related. The factory LS1 PCV system is CRAP. I have everything I need to redo it. I need to get my ass outside when it warms up and do a compression and leakdown test on it. So many things to do, so little time... I held off on painting it while I was buying this house. The chicken or the egg, which to cook first?
