Haha damn man, sorry. In all honesty just wait for the FV to come out and see what it sounds like, if it's the same sound just better operation I'll think you made out much better. I'm sure GReddy knows how important the sound of their BoV is, so I bet they went to great lengths to ensure the new version replicates the sound at the very least...

Okay, well it is as I suspected....

More counterfeits on the market than not.

So I received my FAKE as fuck FReddy blow off valve today. Luckily I didn't pay much...







So I have decided I'm going to be buying the FV straight from GReddy. They come out tomorrow.

But, I get my ecu and stuff tomorrow, so I can at least attempt to start the motor (hopefully) with the knock off installed in the meantime. Notice the adel clamp that the vacuum hose runs through. A small touch, but I like it. :)

Then I'll swap to the FV when it comes within the next week or so...

Okay, apologies for not updating in a little bit....

I'm now teaching sailing, and racing sailboats full time, so my schedule is a bit more busy. So garage time has suffered....But on a positive note, LOTS of new goodies will be in my immediate future.

That said, I HAVE been working on the car. Slowly learning MegaSquirt, and TunerStudio.

I've now successfully connected the laptop to the car, and calibrated my TPS and got to see what my initial intake air temp and my coolant temp gauges. Pretty nifty!

Also, I am confident I have a base tune figured out in order to make the car run.

Next step will be to make sure my ignition and timing are correct.

Then I'll turn the key, and hope for the best.

I've got fuel, and air, now I've got to verify spark.
