Nah we werent talking about an s2000 @ the time but your argument wont hold much water regardless.

The ls1 isnt much heavier than the average honda motor. That combined with the fact that most hondas are fwd & have a transaxle way up front & if you do a ls1 swap your obviously gonna do a tranny swap which is gonna now be in the middle of the car as well as a rear end now out back.

Actually we have. I posted a picture of a built 402 LS2 stroker on nitrous in a silver S2000. I did the research and an LS1+T56 weighs like 140lbs more in total than a F20C.


An LS1+T56 weighs ~40lbs more than a turbo 13b+tranny. It weighs ~100lbs less than a 20b+tranny.



It weighs a metric fuck ton less than a 2JZ+Getrag




If you look at the physical dimensions and weight it is actually a very compact/light engine. Especially when you consider what it can do...

My 94 EG Hatch Hates cold weather and acts funny when its really cold ....

that's on my '95 hatch

my '93 cx is a stock rusted out pos i got for $150 to get int parts out of and now i drive it in the winter.

I don't have 5'' piping on the ls hatch, it's 3'' with a 5'' muffler
