i like the look of the brz/frs

but obviously the powerplant and shitty tires would turn me away.

not to compare apples to oranges, but at 25 k ish prices range theres also a plethora of really great used cars to look at, but anyways back on topic

i can help but actually wonder what comes with your 25+k on a brand new frs/brz, other than aesthetics and thats totally subjective, that chevy or ford doesnt do better

but to be honest i would be in a different predicament if i was going to but a 2.0T "pony car", i would be wanting the v8.

so in my final conclusion i would say if you want a brand new sports car and all you have is 25k, well tough shit save more money

I sold the stock tires used and was able to buy a set Mpss for $50. I don’t understand why people are so scared about tires. They are easily replaceable and will be replaced eventually anyways.

It’s obvious here that more people enjoy larger cars than smaller cars, which is fine, I’m just the opposite. I don’t know how many times I have to say that that I enjoy small and light cars, which ford and Chevy don’t offer. So other than aesthetics, that’s what’s important to me, power comes later. The car has plenty of power for dding.

Unless you want a fiesta which looks like a boob and isn’t rwd.

The mustang and camaro aren’t small? I’m so confused.

It's not the tires themselves. It's the fact that they had to put crappy tires on it to make it more fun to drive because it's underpowered. I don't know if you've driven anything that can produce something called throttle induced oversteer but it's fun and isn't mutually exclusive to crap tires.

No one is trying to convince you to buy a camaro or mustang... for the 10th time, keep the BRZ like it is and add ~100hp + real tires. If they did that I would probably buy one. It wouldn't ruin a thing either. People might have to learn a little bit of throttle control but with better tires it wouldn't be much different.

The world would welcome what you want......but i don’t see it happening without a significant price increase.

There’s a reason the Miata is one of top selling sports cars, and it’s not it’s hp number.

They are much heavy, and quite larger in size. And for me personally, those are two large factors that make me enjoy smaller cars more, regardless of power differences.

And that’s the kicker, you can add power all day long, but you can’t change size, and it’s very difficult to shed weight (for daily).

That goes back to Toyota failing which is the whole point of the thread.
