Wait I'm missing something here, aren't all the powerstrokes being talked about here designed and built by international? The 6.7 was ford's first light duty diesel design if I'm not mistaken. So far so good. I owned a Dodge with a cummins. The truck was pretty shitty but the drivetrain was fantastic.

There isn't much denying when left stock the duramax trucks have the fewest problems in the 04-2013 model years. Get mad, throw a tantrum, idc. The 6.0 and 6.4 are a fucking joke and Dodge fucked up so bad with the fuel filtration system amongst other things it's ridiculous.

Joint production, using the best minds of both companies to produce the best product possible.

Not outsourced.
Big difference bub.

That is literally what GM did with the duramax. It's a joint venture, and from the LMM on it's been mostly GM design.

So the best of both companies produced the 6.0 to replace the 7.3, lost their collective ass, replaced it with the 6.4, and lost their asses again? Cool story bro.

The 6.0 was a rushed design due to the 7.3 no longer being able to pass smog.
7.3's still the best light duty diesel motor offered.

Lets not talk about automotive failures.
How many billions of recalls has GM had?
Which company needed government bailout?
Which company consistently fails to match Ford's sales?
Which company litters junkyards?

And on the other side of that. Which company's vehicles are used at a majority of raw material mines?
Which company's vehicles do paramedics drive?
Which company's vehicles do most cops drive? Especially previous to about 5 years ago or so?
Which company's vehicles are 85% of our local plow trucks?
Not GM.

The only thing that made the 7.3L good was the lack in power resulting in longevity.

These things only made 210 hp / 425 ftlbs.

If you've ever driven one that was bone stock and put a good trailer behind it they are a fucking joke.

It's... Its like arguing with a 5 year old.

E:
Those people drive what they drive because they got a good fleet deal, not because they like one over another.. Our cops in town drive the new Caprice. Our ambos are usually pulling up in Fords, our SHA trucks are almost always International.. Raw material mine vehicles are never fords, but usually CAT or some other large equipment company.
