Thanks for all the kind feedback guys! But yea... I bought the car to enjoy the hell out of it. Cant have fun if it's locked away in my garage all the time.

As for tire wear, I swapped out my OEM Runflat tires (gets ~25-30k miles) for All Season regular tires (gets ~45k-50k miles). I also get a much quieter ride and all season drive-ability

Since this car gets 17 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway (prob 19-ish mpg combined), that's not TOO bad.

Your user name is fitting at least.

You deteriorate the hell out of the car DDing them.

I can think of about 5 reasons to not.

Tires (staggered tires suck)
Salt (especially since he said it can change season all of a sudden)
Constant fuck boys trying to park next to your car since it's nice.
Gas mileage
It's also a sports car that is very small on the inside.
Rock chips
ETC

Don't get me wrong, I love the c5 body and up. Hell there is a 03 z06 in my garage.

Corvettes are actually one of the best cars to drive in salt since there isn't any metal on the car besides the A arms and driveline which is all aluminum

You must treat your cars like shit.

Maintenance on these cars isn't that expensive comparably to other cars in this price range.

anything on a corvette is expensive.. Da fuq

It's really not that bad. Aftermarket parts can be. Most of the engine and driveline parts are shared with the pickup trucks and what not. It makes replacement parts affordable.

Warranty covers a lot of stuff too.... Usually I'd say you're "good" for the first 3-4 years or so.

By the time it runs into "problems," I'll probably be taking home a slightly bigger paycheck, so I can trade or fix (depending on how much I love it)

I was generalizing. In warranty you are covered bumper to bumper of course. I was speaking about true maintenance costs, not out of pocket.

No, it's not.

Compare it to European cars and Asian cars in the same price range....it's not expensive.
