Chevy hands down, unless you are a douchebag

Saying a chevy is better than a BMW is literally mindblowing. Unless you live in the hills and grow your own weed and... ow8.....

Maybe to you they aren't, but to most they are.

So driving a BMW makes you a douchebag? News to me.

Either way , both car companies are great. I'm hoping to be a in a new Camaro next year.

You really shouldn't be so petty. No one whose opinion matters gives a shit if you are driving a BMW. Be my guest, pay double the price for a worse car and brag about it. Several descriptive words come to mind for that guy.

It makes me sad to see all the people in my generation who were raised on Honda and Toyota refuse to believe a domestic US automaker can produce a good car. The past decade has been really good for them.

I agree on not being petty, but Chevrolet hasn't been a status symbol in forever. There is a reason why most successful people drive German over American, it means money and class.

That being said, American cars have come a long way in the last 6 years, and I am planning on getting one next. BMW's are great, but not when it comes to maintenance.

And to my earlier point BMWs are not status symbols either. Anyone in the middle class can drive one if they choose. If you really care about status and BMW is your choice you are too poor to worry about it.

Your right, driving a BMW is not a status choice, and is not for the wealthy either.

All status symbol aside. BMW has built a stronger reputation for their vehicles world wide and Chevy, Ford, Dodge have always had big problems with their vehicles. Heck, I would buy a Kia or Hyundai before I ever consider an American car. The only US cars I would go for would be the Corvette, Marrow, and Challenger.

An $81,000 M4 was toasted by a new 6th gen Camaro SS in a Motortrend Head to head. That is coming from the Pro-BMW guys at Motor trend.

Back to this post. You know you are comparing a 3.0L Turbo Vs. 6.2 V8 but compare the amenities and interior feel. BMW is light years ahead of Chevy. So as far as comfort and feel are concerned, you definitely get your moneys worth from BMW.

HA!

You should watch the episode. It is on youtube. The camaro was faster in a straight line by a narrow margin, they were nearly identical around a road course. The Camaro lambasted the BMW in driver feedback, interior options, fun-to-drive factor, etc. It beat BMW at their own game. One of the reviewers only owns German cars and he was the most critical of the BMW in the test.

You act like GM and Ford don't sell cars internationally lol.

$48k~ more for interior flashy lights and costly maintenance.

I drive a new camaro and I must say, I have been more comfortable in a camaro (driver seat) than any other car I've been inside. Interior is nice and they offer a lot of additional options/packages.
