C6 Z06s are not 80k they're closer to 35-40.

ZR1s are still going in the 80s

With you being in SoCal, I'd definitely go convertible. Most bang for the buck, buy a used vette.

Getting this out of way early - Buying a new car is depreciation suicide.

*steps off financial soapbox*

Buy certified pre owned....At the 35k range, that gets you a hell of a lot of fun toys to choose from.....If only you loosened the "new" requirement.

this ^ Get something used, which will keep some retail value...

Yup
BRZ is a sports car, so is the Miata.
Mustangs and Cameros are pony cars

Haven't you been posting here for years, how could you possibly not know this shit...

You call it what you want.

In today's cars, a 4 banger import is not being classified as a sports car unless you are an insurance company for OBVIOUS reasons.

Hell, a 700+ hp 2 door coupe that an american automaker made isn't even a sports car anymore...

The BRZ and Miata are sports cars......

The Miata is the number 1 selling sports car of all time....

Power is not the most important aspect of defining a sports car, it's just the popular one.

When I said the Miata is the number one selling sports car, did you think I was making that up?....its factual, go look it up.

Full definition of a sports car...

: a low small usually 2-passenger automobile designed for quick response, easy maneuverability, and high-speed driving.

I can't fathom why people these days just care about the hp values and nothing else.

I mean.... A 300 hp Miata is definitely more appealing than a 180 hp miata

Appealing, maybe, as long as it's balanced.

And 300hp miatas don't exist in stock form. But if you want to play that game, a brz with $10,000 into it with easily 350+hp whole staying under 3000 lbs sounds appealing as well.

While we are on the topic of miatas.... The new hardtop model is a gorgeous looking car.
