Have it professionally detailed by a GOOD detailer every y months and you will be fine. Tell him the situation and make sure he uses a synthetic polymer sealant before the wax. They last 6+months. You could have it coated in Opticoat OptiPro after a paint correction when it is brand new and you'd likely never have to worry about it again. The biggest thing is dark tint and a windshield reflector to protect the dash and interior. UV rays are much harder on interiors than clear coat.

I concur with this. My GTO has dmg to the back seats because of uv rays.

Do you really think spending that much on the car in the first place is really a great idea? Just because you're approved for the payments doesn't mean you can really afford it, and that is what it sounds like in this situation.

Not sure if it is, but this is my last chance before I'm probably like 50 haha. That's what it will be if I don't get it now and have to wait until the kids go to college etc...

Also, I don't want to be stuck paying a 3.5-4k month mortgage by myself :P I think i'd be much easier with a wife helping me hehe

How much money do you have to put down? And how much do you have left after current bills? Remember you'll want a down payment when you buy your house also, 10-20% thats a shit ton down for the price range you'r looking at. Will you be able to save that amount by then with a 1500$ a month car payment?

I did a 5 year plan via excel calculating my take home income less monthly expenses and stuff. I can afford to down 100 on the house and ~30 on the car (making my car payments only like $800 a month).

Even though I can make the down and mortgage, you're right it is a bit tight for me to solo. Once the gf is out of college and finds a 50-60k job, we'll be easy sailing.
