Side side note, I told you to grow a pair. Not op, you told op to sue a business owner over what most of us make in a few hours, a day's work at most.

96' integra. he says he changed the brake and fuel lines. this shop is a very unnoficila style garage. the guy always wants to be paid in cash (hum hum) and barely gave me a bill. the bill is official but all he wrote is brake lines a nd fuel lines.. 100 for material and 375 labor. rest is tax

Sounds a bit overpay but you can use this as a learning experience. National chains like Firestone and goodyear have you sign a contract before they start work stating how much they will charge you. If they want to charge you more, they will have an explanation and wont continue work unless you approve the changes. That's why Its sometimes better to take it to a national chain. If your not handy with the wrenches that is.

Good luck in the future.

I like to shop around a bit when I'm having something done that I can't or don't want to do myself, if I have the time to do so, prices can vary quite a bit from place to place. The conditions of the garage can even be a decision maker for me as much as the price. I saved $200 on my set of tires by taking my time and checking around a bit, but that's something I knew was coming and had the time of course. The rear axle in my chevy is leaking grease I noticed when I did my brakes so I'll take it to a shop to fix that because you need a special tool to do something in there.. But I'll shop around and see who will do it the cheapest, and if it's not cheap enough, I'll end up buying the tool and doing it myself, which is usually the case. I take pictures of everything so I can reassemble whatever I take apart hopefully.
