FMX has never had an ls motor, KOJ hasn't touched a dirt track car and i've never seen a diesel.

The best part of this whole thread. other than the honda gods. is that NOTHING was mentioned about transmission or gearing. This car is going to run 9's? Even if he hit the rev limiter in 5th at the 1/8th and let it eat the rest of the way down the track he wont hit a 9 second pass. Not to mention that fwd cars have to trap 600 fucking mph faster than a rwd car to make the same pass because they launch like a cruise liner.

fake edit -- I see he put a new short throw shifter and shift boot on. Fixes the problem mentioned above. Sorry.

Your dreams are high.. Not really realistic for 99% of people, since it would cost an arm and a leg to make it happen.. And it's a very improbable build to make it streetable..

I'm telling you, a b series, a k series.. Hell, almost any series honda running that fast spends more time in the shop than it does on the strip.

Go buy a decently built 383 and throw a fucking supercharger on it.. That'll get you to mid/low 10's, and cost you 15k.

uhhh my buddies car is almost never in the shop... Just because it's a high HP 4 cyl doesn't mean it's any harsher on the internals than a high HP v8. If the build and tune are good the car will hold together perfectly fine.

Also people commneting on launching slow, with the right suspension and tires they 60' just fine compare to RWD and AWD cars. If the car is strictly for the strip very low 60's are achievable.
Yes we are all aware that high hp street cars 60' like shit but this kid is talking about making it a track car.


also his b20 is perfectly fine base to start with, stroke it out and boost it properly and his hp goals are achieved on that current motor(well maybe not that on in there now but same block)
