If you have a daily/winter car, I'd say get a toy. Convertible vette maybe? They are dime a dozen.

Viable option, but I'm also looking at getting a more 'classy car' for when I'm not driving a company vehicle and have to meet with clients. I may pick up real-estate again part-time and the urge to have a nice, 4 door is becoming real. Part of the reason I'm not that interested in a BRZ is because it will easy get confused with its ricer twin. I've test driven several BRZ's and honestly love the car. So to the guy who's saying do all those things and make it a fast car, I feel you. It's a dog compared to my Cayman, but handles the same just a different dynamic as ones mid-engine, lol. I'm over this car and just want to trade it in.

Anyone know anything about the Lexus RC's/IS350s? I like the look, anyone with drive time should comment!

Sounds like you would love a brz but it's missing that luxury factor and probably Not the best for professionalism.

I would look into the Lexus is350.? I think that will suit you well.

The rc is a great looking car but a huge drawback is its 4000lb weight.

Are you referring to me or the people coming in the thread giving their opinions?

I know there's a few people my age in here with decent jobs and nice cars who may have test drove some of the cars I'm looking at.

If you're referring to me, then, I'll be sure to post a picture of the car I end up buying with a @jsp sign

A $40,000 car isn't anything that expensive for adults......

My thoughts. You could make $10/hr and easily finance a car that expensive lol.

Anything can be bought in credit these days. My daily is paid off and I don't mind taking on a new payment.

I just turned 25, my car insurance went down, received yet another pay increase today at work and am on track to make 65-75k in 2 years. I'm fully capable of buying a more expensive car.

Yup and there you go. Find what you like and buy it.

The is350 might be a good choice for you, if luxury 4 door is your priority.

A 40k car would be around 640 a month for me "assuming there aren't any special Apr offers and a small deposit" for a long term loan... 10 bucks an hour full time, you're probably clearing 1100 a month after taxes working a 40 hour work week.. Not sure about you, but I couldn't live off of 460 a month without living with my parents.

$460 a month would be difficult, I guess I didn't really consider that high of a payment since I'll be putting down a 5-10,000 of the car in cash + trade in.

Same man I drove my civic for a little while. The blind spots in parking lots were ridiculous, nervous about hitting a deer, or getting hit and people just don't move the fuck over when your behind them in the fastlane in a 97 civic. The big tank they move right away lol.

I hear ya. It's something about 2 30" light bars being turned on and giving you a sunburn that just makes people want to move back to the right ;)
