ive owned 6 gm vehicles and never had the first a/c problem. my moms 2008 avenger had the a/c compressor fail on it. does that mean gms the best and chrysler sucks and builds shitty cars because i know someone that had the a/c fail on their chrysler?

now im getting sucked into the idiot zone by this guy lol

lol, 1 car isn't a big deal but when you only know 6 people with GMS, and all of them had the same problem + other problems.

That's my point. Could only be a coincidence.

Then i look at all the cars we use in our family business ( We've had atleast 12 Toyotas ), Not one single problem.

Could only be a coincidence aswell...

i could be 100% wrong but numbers are in my favor, from my experience, still.

I own 5 gm vehicles myself with no AC failures. They have about 375k miles between them. 99, 00, 2011, 2011, 2014 respectively. You can't base opinions on such a small sample size unless it fits the results of a larger group.

little to none. biggest fix ive ran into was replacing the fuel pump on my dads 01 s10 last wednesday night. other than that change the oil and put gas in them and go.

like i said your reasoning behind gm sucks is horrible. maybe the user dont know how to turn an a/c knob if that is such a prevalent problem for you.

$0. Gods honest truth. Honestly I haven't had to replace anything of significant cost that wasn't due to modding. The LS1 in my 99 Formula spun a rod bearing at 100k but it had an aggressive heads and cam package on it for 25k before that and had the absolute piss beat out of it. My 00 Trans Am has 155k now and I drive it to work 50% of the time. It's still on the original water pump, AC compressor, alternator, and starter as far as I know and it's been H/C/E since 2007.

Now you sound more intelligent. You can take 10 minutes to educate yourself and find out first hand that GM vehicles that are not shitbox economy cars have a good reliability record and low maintenance costs compared to their direct competitors. Talking trucks, Ford is right on par with them. They typically utilize more complicated systems with no apparent gains but they are good trucks. GM's stuff will always be cheaper to maintain and work on solely based on the simplicity of the systems they employ.
