the 4 door n54 335 sells for $10k-15k all day lol

faster and 10x more reliable than an older bmw

i mean he could get one, but honestly, they are ugly as hell, i only started liking the bmw bodies after like 2004.

Not faster, less power and heavier car...

the e46 m3 gets like 300 to the wheels and its n/a

the n54 is an i6 twin turbo that gets 300 to the wheels

$2000 in upgrades puts the n54 at 450+

$2000 in upgrades gets the s5x or w/e the e46 has an intake, exhaust (without headers), and a shiny new throttle body, maybe 25-40 hp

sure you could scrap together a supercharger/turbo kit for a e46, but how reliable will that be? as reliable as millions of dollars in r&d? doubt it.

Oh I didn't realize we were comparing modified ones....
still you would be surprised how a 350 hp modified na m3 would run with a TT 450 hp one. An na car can have less power and still run with turbo'd cars that have 100 more

Sorry, that block won't handle 450hp lol.. 2k for upgrades? Yeah, let's try around 10k for a reliable build..

I revert to my original post, buy a ranger.

?? obviously you dont know the n54

downpipe, intercooler, chargepipe, and a tune puts you at 450hp, my buddy had these same mods on his n54 135i and had 510 to the wheels with a custom tune

nothing unreliable about a good motor restricted by factory parts.

I might not know a whole lot about the n54 block, but what I do know is that the factory parts aren't restricting 150hp from a charge pipe and the intercooler, lol. That block isn't that responsive...

And if it's proved to the contrary, I appologize. But I'm going to have to call bs.

its like 16 bolts including the bumper bolts.

downpipe opens up the exhaust flow allowing for more power, cant really say how much, it just helps the whole system.

http://burgertuning.com/dcintake.html , this is the only intake/air filters you should be getting, if you do, not really needed, just cleans up the bay and makes the chargepipe/jb+ install easier

juicebox is just a basic like $150 tune, waste of money imo

jb+ is a little more, quick install, allows changing of boost/power

jb4 is a full ecu makeover, if used incorrectly can blow your motor

200hp is fast? and a high school kids dream car will be in nice shape? news to me

e36 or e46 m3 is probably the most unreliable money pit you could get

Ahoild I get the JB+?

100% stock with just JB+ ( mid-level tune )

jb4 135, stock turbos, no nitrous, intercooler, downpipe, charge pipe running 11.38

jb4 with downpipe, dual cone intake, $100 fuel pump

so yeah, $2000 gets you 450hp

dyno'd and proven, by hundreds of people.

the ones that run e85 and meth and all the fancy shit break 500 like its nothing.

So what are the best mods to get for under 1000$ total? Intercooler, air filters, and the JB+?
