What is the intended purpose of the car? Decent handling and good ride? Corner carving? Drag only? Street/strip?

Will probably take it racing on occasion, but primary use will be cruises/messing around with friends on back roads. So something that will give me some decent rigidity in the corners, and make the car ride not super low (I live in MN where roads are shit)

Well shocks won't effect the height 1 bit. Springs will. Stock springs and Bilstein shocks are a tried and true combo that rides much better than stock and gives a performance improvement in all areas. It will drag race, cruise, and corner better than stock shocks and they are cheap. A couple shops out there sell revalved Bilsteins that are specific to F-bodies.

Koni STR are another non adjustable that is good. They are targeted at cornering more than the bilsteins and are a bit more expensive.

After that you get into coil overs. Most of those are drag specific but will work on the street. Viking makes a very affordable coilover that is double adjustable and can be configured to do everything well with on car adjustments.

Is the stock you're referring to the ws6 package that comes stock with the formula?

Shock wise:

I'm not the best 3rd gen guy but i'm pretty sure they are all the same or close to the same. I know they are all crap Decarbons ( orange body) on 4th gens except for the SLP optioned Bilsteins that came on the 1LE Camaros.

Springs differ from V6 to V8 cars. Your stock springs actually have a pretty decent spring rate they are just very tall. You could pick up a set of BMR springs that would lower it just over an inch and still have plenty of clearance.

I like having a decent amount of clearance because the exhaust on it hangs kinda low and I also drive it around my roommates yard which isn't the flattest of surfaces.

But I do know that the WS6 package came with improved shocks over the base models.

On paper, yes. Compared to what we have now they are all garbage.

Where are good places to shop for these kinds of things? Any direct links?
