Still not sure if srs about an Audi TT being fast.

If yes, your fanboi is showing. 180-235hp at 3200lbs is not fast.

Ever driven one? No? Then how can you talk? Early 2000s Audi TTs are pure fun to drive. Who are you to say otherwise? And notice I never used the word "fast" in that context.

3200 lbs is more than 400 lbs lighter than the average weight of a compact car by the way. The thread is called "fun summer cars." The TT is a very fun car.

Never said the S2000 wasn't fun. It definitely is. Problem is finding one going for cheap. I know people who have gone 6+ hours away to find a clean one in the right colour/kilometres. If the budget is under 15,000, TT is a very good choice.

Physics. That part is really, really simple. It is slow as fuck. It's heavy for a car of it's size and underpowered. If you think that is fun so be it. You still don't see how opinions are two way streets... You say mine is invalid because I disagree with you. The same argument can be made in the opposite direction. Derp.

Just leave. 3600lbs is heavier than a lot of 4 door sedans. That is almost as heavy as a 5th gen Camaro which we rag on for being a fucking boat.

At 3200lbs it weighs the same as a C5 corvette with half the power. It has less power than a civic SI and it is 300lbs heavier. Any way you slice it the car is anything but light for what it is. It is AWD ffs.

The older TT's are really fun. New ones are too but the old ones are just so light they kind of sneak up on you. You look at the horse and don't think it'll get up and go that fast but you hit the gas and they're gone. They're just so light. I've been thinking about getting one for a couple summers now. Cheap, not that bad to fix (old Audi's are very easy to find good knockoff OEM parts), and really fun.

Draw your own conclusions. Maybe your intent was different from what I inferred but you seem to be saying it is deceptively "fast." There is that word again.

So you've never driven the car, and yet you've decides it's "slow as fuck" and not fun to drive. OK, what's your contribution to this thread? Coming in to attack me because you're still mad about last time?

You're dead wrong. Go look up the average weight of cars. The average weight of passenger vehicles (excluding vehicles used for commercial uses and commercial vehicles) is slightly under two imperial ton's (about 4000 pounds). I don't give a fuck about how much a Camaro weights, why does the weight of a single car tell me anything about the average weight of cars in general? A Camaro's curb weight is 3719 lbs. A Camaro has a 72 litre fuel tank (which is huge for a car). That's 116 lbs. Not sure how much the rest of the coolant and weight adds up to, but it's not a negligible amount. So a Camaro weights 3835 pounds at least with a full fuel tank. Of course that's a fucking boat.

How can you say the car is not deceptively fast if you haven't driven it? You literally can't say a bloody thing. Literally nothing. Again, what is the point of coming into this thread? To tell me I'm wrong when you can't because you haven't driven the fucking. Don't tell someone a car doesn't feel like something when you're driving when you haven't touched it. Plenty of cars feel different than the raw numbers would tell you. A car with a turbo feels faster than it actually is. That's "deceptively fast" (both in it not actually being on paper fast and in the feeling it gives you).

He's not so much arguing that it may or may not be a fun car to drive.......

He (and most people) would argue that your idea of how much a passenger vehicle car is completely wrong.

Camry : 32xx-34xx
accord: 31xx-35xx
Altima: 31xx-33xx

I don't think I need to list more. Yes, can four door cars get close to 4000 lbs? Absolutely, but close to 4000 lbs is NOT the average. You'll find higher weights in luxury cars most often.
