Holy.. $5k?? I haven't heard anything about that. I know the 07's had issues but I thought they were fine after that.

If you aren't doing anything yourself that is close to what it will run. I'll type something up and post it in the general discussion thread to keep goat boy on topic.

Valve guides right? I thought the fix was more like a $2000-2500 than $5000. I need to do the valve springs on mine this year.

If you pull the heads and reinstall them yourself and you use SS exh valves. I'm almost done with the post i'm typing up.

How many miles are on your ls6? If it has the stock cam i'd wait until you are ready to cam it.

Almost 50k. Yeah it still has the stock cam. I'm still unsure on what I actually want to do with it.

The yellow springs in the ls6 are actually really nice beehives. They can take a very small cam without being swapped. I'd run them 100k on a stock engine without batting an eye.

go fast parts
Heads cam intake exhaust tune

If its an autotragic good luck with the trans and rear

Also a vs newer v6 camry would be a drivers race vs a LS1 GTO
They can trap 103mph stock
Ive never seen a stock LS1 gto go 13.8s or quicker
350hp~ and 3800~ lbs = pretty slow times
