You also pump fuel and burnt gases straight into the oil until the pistons heat up enough to get max ring seal. It's worse on higher mileage engines. Mix the voc's with the condensation and you get a caustic sludge.
I Change my oil every 5k kms. I also did the head gasket in my car after 2 of the coldest winters in a long time. That's roughly 80 thousand km I put on. And I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Ofc it was machined and tested like any other.
So as far as I'm concerned, and have experienced, I will waste all that extra gas and let that bitch warm up before I get in.
